In between the real (IRL) and the imagined, the flower has reproduced, visually, its substance re-created from its appearances. It’s a digitally engineered composite and will now exist in an electro-digital arena. Still governed by the power of light and at the mercy of magnetic waves. Its digital cells will bind with other digital cells. Its movement can be governed by an algorithmic process. It is no longer bound by the sun. It will not need water.
As the world is photographed and re-photographed, represented and reproduced we enter an era of Midas, everything we touch, or experience can be turned to gold, everything is commodity, social currency, but at what cost for these dreams?
